Four Core Values

I W8 is non-profit program designed to reach 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th grade students in Upper East Tennessee with the message of abstinence. At I W8 we try our best to keep things simple. There are four core values that our program seeks to be:

FACTUAL - Our program exists because the facts tell us that abstinence is simply the best choice emotionally, physically, spiritually, and for the overall well-being of students. Our message is not aimed to be judgmental, but instead it stands upon upon truth, science, and concrete factual evidence. We believe that the more students are exposed to the facts about sexual activity the more likely they are to choose abstinence .

PRACTICAL - Our desire is not merely to present information but to also provide a vehicle for life change. We view our job as equipping students with tools that will not only help them navigate the waters of dating but all of life as well.

PROVOCATIVE - The abstinence message is not always popular one, but it is a message that needs to be taught. It is our desire to provoke intelligent conversation on the topics of dating and sex. Our desire is not to offend, but to create a discussion with students about key issues that will greatly effect their future.

ENGAGING - We want to connect with students in a way that is engaging and captivating. Our program is meant to be educational while at the same time being light-hearted and fun. Students should look forward to attending our classes and walk away more informed and making better decisions as a result.
